Takaka Hill, Golden Bay , New Zealand

Happy New Year!!!!! All the best to all of you for 2008!!!! Enjoy '' La grosse vie sale'' and never forget to crack the big toe daily to keep your body healthy! Mmmm....I had a very nice happy New Year Celebrations ...in very nice place where they hold a music festival called '' Canaan Down'' . Very nice people, all there for the same reason: having good time , very nice weather, very nice vibes provided by a music from all around the site...and sheeps included! Because of its low population ( 4M) and far away even for those who live '' over the ditch'' ( Australia....4 hours by plane!) , it gave me impression that the event was missing some people, but apparently it was a good year for the festival! People from all the kiwi country came! Anyway! Everything were under control, despite my dislocked foot bone

And I discovered how small is this world!

When I took the ferry from The North Island ( Wellington) to South Island ( Picton), I met a nice guy from Chili and we hitch hiked to reach Nelson. This town is well know for tourism ... and crowded too!... '' No Vacancy'' everywhere! Well...After to hith hiked with a fish farming diver who explained to us his uncommon job, an old lady who just left her sick husband close to death to the hospital and a feeeeefffffff wheeeeeeeeel 20's caravan couple from Australia, we reached the city and found our respective nest! Then the next day, despite that my bugging swallow foot and my heavy back pack, I reached the music festival by my magic thumb for 3 days by Takaka Hill after to get close to turn green. Well....Some of these Kiwi roads are really narrow, extremely sinuous, read dangerous! But always beautiful and safe up to now! hihihi!

So! Who's the first person met on the camping site?! The guy who hosted me by Charleston! Cool! Who's next later on?! The Chili guy! Too much! The music played during the day was good and at night shift was a little bite less in my own opinion because all the stages put same kinds of music. Well...we can't control everything. You should see the stars at night...! The mood of the djembe bonfire...! That was an ''official non drink festival'' , a place where you can buy granola food, a place where the kids have their place too, a place where the sheeps are present too! So basicly at the end, everyone could find its own interest. Good! I met more people , specially a cool funny guy from Ireland and 2 crazy swiss german girl traveling by their own too. I had fun and planning to go back there during my stay by Nelson! Let's see! Of course we broke the ''dry law'' by midnight on January first, of course! For those of you who doesn't know, New Zealand is the first country to enjoy the first day of the year! Yeeeeeahhhhhh! Amazing and astonishing NeuseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnD !

Well, that was a very nice therapy!
