To the right end of Golden Bay: Farewell-Spit, NZ

This is the most amazing coastal place that I ever been in all my life. Farewell -Spit and Wharakiri Beach are really really special and beautiful places to visit. At this time of the year, it is uncrowd and you can appropriate all this land just for you for a day...yeah! Hard to describe those landscapes, how I feel.

If you have a look on the map, you will see this place look like a kiwi bird! hahaha! It is really shallow and it is usual to watch whales and others marine sea life strangle. I saw a dead shark that day. Don't know why, I can already ear Colin about this...!Their biggest ever strangle recorded was in the early '90s. 350 whales strangle and they saved 325. From what I understood, the trick is to drop on them water, to kill those too sick ( so they stop to call ''help''), find the leader of the group as soon as possible , remove it from its bad situation as soon as you can , like this it gonna starts to call whales to go back to sea. Strange! Watch ''Whale Rider'' to give you an image of all this. Since I live in Nelson early January, they already got 3 operation rescue whales...In my own opinion, I am not sure if it is a good idea or not to practice this....I mean...It is something ''natural''...a clean up operated by Mother Nature against those less strong as the others...Of course some species are in danger...mainly because from us...but ...don't know...I think people like to save whale together because of all the ''humanity'' related with this. An concrete action...While I was looking at some pictures about whales strangling operation, it reminds me Montreal attack by huge snowstorm. Suddenly, your neighbor that you never speak with before become you best buddy by working together to remove the car stuck in the snow bank. May be people won't agree with from what I say, but I am pro Mother Nature clean up and I am pro human nature clean up too....oups.

ok, just to freak mom: there are quick sands! They lost one of their engine last october.
